Your site is connected once ArneIron can measure a working connection to it. This takes a few minutes and needs only wp-admin.
1. Add the site to your account
Log in at arneiron.net/my-account, open My Sites and enter your site address.
2. Download your personal zip
- Download theme gives you the full setup: the ArneIron theme with the Connector bundled.
- Download plugin gives you the ArneIron Connector only, for a site that keeps its current theme.
- The zip is made for you and contains a one-time connect token, valid for 24 hours. Install this zip, not a copy from somewhere else.
3. Install it in wp-admin
- Theme: Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme → choose the zip → Install Now → Activate. This also installs and activates the Connector.
- Plugin only: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → choose the zip → Install Now → Activate.
- If an ArneIron theme or plugin is already installed, choose Replace current with uploaded.
The Connector connects itself when it is activated.
4. Give ArneIron access
On the ArneIron page in wp-admin, click Give ArneIron access. This creates a restricted user named arneiron. ArneIron never uses an administrator account.
5. Check the connection
Your account and your AI app report a connection state for each site:
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
connected | The connection was measured and works. Only this state means edits can reach your site. |
awaiting_site | ArneIron is waiting for your site to finish connecting. This is normal just after you add a site. |
unprovable | The connection could not be measured. It is never treated as connected. |
A site’s status (for example active) is not proof that it is connected. Go by the connection state.
